Square Circle Rounding Hammer for Blacksmith Masters 54-55(HRC)
Used my new 3.5lb rounding hammer to quickly taper this 1.5" tube for the start of a 1" hardy adapter. Great hammer! Files skate and polished heads are still mirrors after days of use and a couple miss hits. I'll be getting another
This is a very nicely made hammer. Much respect to the smith that made it. It is nicely balanced and weighted. Care went into the finish. I have to be careful to keep it pretty. Definitely recommend and would buy from again.
This is a really nice hammer. I love the weight, it moves metal well and looks great doing it. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is due to the fact I had to epoxy the wedge in place to keep it from coming out. That being said, I have had no further issues with the wedge after a liberal application of epoxy. However, the head is still a bit loose. Nothing detrimental or anything, but it is just enough to notice.
All in all, I would purchase this hammer again or any another hammer in the line up.
I am a farrier- these are genuinely the best hammers I have used. And I have used A LOT of different hammers. It is well weighted and gives you great control over your blow. I will be recommending these to all of my colleagues!
Great hammer ! Has a gift for a ironworker friend , he say with his experience its a usefull tool for quality works ! The order is quite good packaged too .Continue to make that type of stuff!
My 17 year old son enjoys blacksmithing and requested this for Christmas. I didn't realize it was handmade, so it took longer than expected, but came just in time for his birthday. He is very impressed, loves it, and I hear him out in the garage right now hammering away. Worth the price and worth the wait. Plus, he loves that he supported a fellow blacksmith.
I bought several hammers at the same time. Please excuse the repeat review: Excellent quality handles and symmetrical forged parts. Ends are close to a mirror finish. Well packed with a thin sheen of light protective oil. Friendly and responsive communication. Quick shipment. Highly recommended!
My great-grandfather was a blacksmith, and my father is a blacksmith. I forged my first knife at fourteen. This craft is the life I know and love. It taught me to care about things you feel through hours at the anvil: the balance of a hammer, the fit of a handle, how the steel holds up under repeated blows. My training in metallurgy and heat treatment helps me get those details right. Here in our workshop in Ukraine, I make tools to feel like an extension of your hand. My family’s standards go into each one.
